Can you believe our precious Kindergarten year is almost over? I am so excited to see the growth your child has shown throughout the year. I am so sad to see them go, however, I'm really proud of their emotional, social, and academic growth. Congratulations!

This week, we will be wrapping up our ocean unit. Students will also begin their "growing up" book. If you haven't turned in a 4X6 baby picture, please send one in on Monday. We will be using these cute pics for a project. Thank you!
In Math, we will review decomposing and composing numbers to 10 using number bonds, drawings, and part-part whole strategies. We will also continue learning about place value and counting the "Say 10" way.
Jogging for the Arts is this Friday, April 28th. We are asking that each student raise $25 or more. Ask friends, relatives, and businesses to support our school by contributing a flat donation, or a per lap donation. Money raised will be used for our Arts Programs. Please have your child wear comfortable running shoes on Friday. Parents can come out and cheer students on! The schedule will be posted on Rio's website!
May 4th is Rio Del Mar's Open House. Please stop by the classroom to check out your child's wonderful artwork and writing.They are so proud of their work! Your child will be your guide for the evening.Take pictures and enjoy this last evening event of the year!
