Hello Kindergarten Families,
I hope you all have had a relaxing Spring Break and you were able to get outside when the sun peaked out!
We will be wrapping up our unit on "Insects". We will be "diving" into our ocean unit towards the end of the week which will carry us through the end of the year. This is an exciting unit to teach and the kids really love to learn about the many amazing animals that call the ocean "home"! We will learn about crabs, sea anemones, and sea urchins. We will read Rainbow Fish and do a cute art project. The students will also make a cool scuba diver! All of our ocean art projects will be displayed on our walls and windows. You'll be able to check out our "ocean" at Open House, May 4th.
Word Wall Word: sight word review
In Math, we will work on CGI problems and as well as subtraction problems. Please continue to practice math facts to `10 at home daily.
I will need a baby picture of your child for a fun project. The picture will be used in the project so please send a picture that you are willing to give up! It will be glued onto a page in a "memory book". Please send it in by ASAP. It should be no larger than a 4x6 standard print.
There is NO SCHOOL this Friday, April 14th!
Enjoy your week,
Cathy Werner
