Dear Kindergarten Families,

Thank you all so much for attending our graduation last Friday! I am so proud of the students for presenting the songs and poem with such confidence and ease! They are truly ready for first grade! I hope you enjoyed the Promotion Ceremony show as much as I did. I am so proud of the students for making the show a hit! Great job Kinders!

Thank you to all of the parents who came out for the the End of the Year Party.  The Kinders had a great time playing different games and eating yummy food!  Thank you to Jen and all the volunteer parents  for organizing the party!

We are winding down to the last 5 days of school. I hope you cherish this last bit of Kindergarten with your child. I had a fantastic year with you all I hope you have a relaxing and fun summer!

If your child's birthday falls in the summer, you may bring a treat Tuesday. We have 21 students in our class.

Dear Kindergarten Families,

It was really wonderful  to see all of you at Open House last Thursday. The students did a great job giving you a tour of their amazing work! I am so proud of all of my students!

Words of the Week:  of   do 

This week, the students will be practicing for their Kindergarten Promotion Ceremony.  We also have our field trip Thursday to Driscoll's.  Please make sure your student is on time that day.  Bring a booster seat, water bottle, snack, and wear comfortable shoes and clothing.  Layer clothing as we don't know what to expect with the weather nowadays. If you're planning on driving, please make sure your driver information is up to date in the office.  Thank you!

In Math, we will continue to work on decomposing numbers to 10 and counting to 100.

In Writing, students will make "thank you" cards for our school helpers such as the secretaries, librarian, custodian, administration, and our reading teachers.

Dear Kindergarten Families,


I definitely felt very appreciated and loved on my birthday and during teacher appreciation week with all of your kind words and lovely surprises!!! I enjoyed reading all the heartfelt cards . Thank you! I really loved this year with your child and am looking forward to filling up the last few weeks of school with fun memories!

Thursday, May 17th is our Open House from 6:30-7:30 pm.  It is a great time for your child to show off his/her work. We've transformed our classroom into an "ocean" and the students are excited to be your guide! All family members are welcome to join!


Thank you all for joining us for Jogging-for-the-Arts last week. The students were thrilled to run the track and raise money for our Arts Program.

Dear Kindergarten Families,

We revving up for Open House and our end of the year activities.  We hope you're able to make it to Open House on Thursday, May 17th, 6:30-7:30.  Your child will be your guide and will show you his/her ocean projects!  Family and friends are welcome.

Word Wall Words: review

We had Kindergarten Round-up last week. If you have a sibling ready for kinder or know of a friend who hasn't registered for Kindergarten, it's not too late!  REGISTER NOW!

In Math, we will continue working on decomposition, subtraction word problems and fluency.  Please continue counting by  1's, 5's, and 10's to 100.

In Writer's Workshop, students will write their last monthly writing paper.  We will also finish up our ocean animal report which will be displayed on Open House.

Our last day of Centers is May 17th.  We want to thank all of our special volunteers for helping us in the classroom. We couldn't have made such fun and creative projects without your help during Centers!  Thank you!

Our last round of Sharing is something that comes from the ocean.

 Dear Kindergarten Families,



Monday, we will continue our ocean unit.  The students will make an animal report, complete their scuba diver, make a jellyfish and read many more non-fiction books about sea animals.

We have been practicing songs and poems for our Kindergarten Promotion Ceremony.  This will take place in our classroom at 10:45-11:15. Friends and family member are welcome!

Dear Kindergarten Parents,

I hope you enjoyed your break!

Next week, we will start our unit on "insects". We'll talk about the different body parts and their uses. We will focus on fireflies and do a writing about the book,  Quick As A Cricket.

Words of the Week: "they", "all"

In Math, we will focus on math facts to 5.  We will also continue to count and group by 1's, 2's, 5's, and 10's using our "counting collections".

In Writer's Workshop, the students will write about their spring break!

We will have two field trips in May.  More info to come.  If you're interested in driving, please check in with the office to confirm your paperwork is up to date.

Hi Kindergarten Families,

I hope you enjoyed some sunshine this weekend, here is the update:

Word Wall Words:  "under", "down"

Students will continue to learn about plants and their parts. They will make a "tear art" flower and learn about the lifecycle of plants.

In Math,  we will go over solid shapes and continue using our math strategies to solve word problems.

In Writing,  we will write about Spring and the changes we observe during this season.

Due to the short week centers are cancelled for Tuesday and Thursday.  We will still have centers Monday.

As a reminder, yearbook orders are due 3/29 for $18.

No school on 3/30-4/6.
